English films for better language awareness and more fun
Learning a language by watching films is one of the most effective ways to learn! We have been using this method long enough in our ESL classes to incorporate it into our website. Doing exercises on film scripts can give students a sense of real achievement and a strong desire to watch the film in full or parts as much as possible. Constant visual image and voices of great actors give the best possible help to students who have a real interest in the chosen film and the script. Motivated students can memorise large parts of the script without much effort!
For what else do we love this method of teaching so much?
- - We're always looking for new ways to teach ESL
- Films often use real, everyday English, not some outdated textbook version
- Students tend to learn English (or any other language) faster when they hear and see at the same time
- Films can teach a lot of useful vocabulary in context
- We love great movies
